Well, I finally finished Obsession by Jennifer Armentrout
First of all HOLY SHIT-! LOOK AT THAT COVER Hunter, kindly let me lick those abs? And arms?
I don't know what I was expecting when I started reading, but it was not that. As an avid fan of the Lux books, I knew I'd love it. But not this much. I started 8 hours ago and yes, I did stay up from midnight til 8am just to finish it. Yep. I missed my bus to college. Do I regret it? No. No I don't.
Hunter is just... dear god. I don't know how to describe him. Sexy bastard doesn't seen to cover it. He was the perfect, perfect character. Raging sex addict in my opinion. I think he should go into therapy for that to be honest. He'll just shag Serena and break her in half. Or leave her as dust because he's destroyed her. He was like Daemon, but darker. SO much darker.
I loved it because in the Lux series, the Arum were perceived as evil, while the Luxen were innocent.
SO WRONG
No, the Luxen and the Arum are so similar I'm going to look twice at the Arum in Obsidian/Onyx/Opal when I read them again. Because not all Arum are bad, just like not all Luxen are bad.
It makes me sad because they're just as bad as each other. Hunter has majorly changed my views on the Arum now. If he can learn to love Serena like that, pretty sure all the other Arum could learn a lesson.
Seeing the dark side of the Luxen's makes me thankful for Daemon, Dee etc.
Honestly, if Daemon and Hunter ever got into a fight to the death, I wouldn't know who to cheer for. They're both my babies.
Hunter's a sexual predator and hey *pats bed* feel free to join me you sexy Arum bastard.
Serena was a brilliant character. Truly epic. The only thing that niggled me is how she let Hunter dominate her quite so many times. Not complaining, but I just wish she'd pushed him away a few more times. That guy needs some self control.
Jennifer. If you're reading this... PLEASE WRITE A SEQUEL. I JUST... PLEASE. YOU CANNOT LEAVE HUNTER AND SERENA'S STORY LIKE THAT. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT. P.s. I love you.
p.s.s. PLEASE PRINT IT AS AN ACTUAL BOOK
