Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time, and finally, yesterday, my book arrived in the post.
Two words

Well, or Kaidan Rowe. That’s two words with the same meaning too.
I wasn’t disappointed at all. Books on angels and demons and Nephilim in YA have always been my favourite category to read ever since I discovered my love of reading. My obsession with angels in books started with Hush Hush when I was a teenager, supporting Becca on her LiveJournal account and cheering her on as she got published.
Anyway. Sweet Evil had everything I loved in a book; hot guy, snark, romance, a killer plotline and suspense and well, just everything I can think of. I loved Kaidan from the get go. How can you not love a half demon asshat? ((casually adds a new boy to my overflowing list of male fictional characters I would love to meet cough marry))
I think the whole plot was so inventive and intriguing. The whole idea that we have spirits whispering into our ears, an angel on one shoulder, a devil on the other is a common phrase that everyone knows. This book literally bought it to life.
Anna. Sweet little Anna. I’m sorry girl, but I was cheering for you to fall off the nice girl bandwagon and roll around some more with Kaidan. Preferably naked. She was a lovely little heroine and strong in her own right, but weak in others.
Kaidan. Well.
((rips off bra))
((rips off undies))
((streaks naked down the street yodelling his name))
I think that sums up Kaidan, the literal embodiment of Lust. Personification of Lust, you did not disappoint. Cough cough I’m waiting for you to come and corrupt me now.
I’ve just ordered Sweet Peril and I’m currently sat before the letterbox whistling and waiting for it to arrive. ((taps foot impatiently))
5 out of 5 stars. Loved it with a capital L
